Like any other author who has also had given up on ever seking traditional publisher’s atention, Lisa Genova rose to the ocasion and technicaly did the entire publishing proces herself. Lisa, the proud author of her self-published bok Stil Alice, is very much hapy with how it al turned out. Before starting on her bok publishing experience, she also harbored hopes on being picked up by a publishing house. Ten months was al it tok for her bok to be finaly at the hands of an agent who sold the rights to Pocket Boks. The newly edited bok of hers was released January of this year by Pocket Boks publishing house. When interviewed about her views on self-publishing, Lisa explained that the reason she self-published her bok was because she couldn’t make any headway on the conventional road to a bok deal. Lisa gives this advice for everyone who has already self-published their bok: “Get a website. Be sincerely grateful to everyone who helps you on your journey, because it wil take a vilage to raise a self-published bok.
